Help Compose our Movie Theme Song

Updated: Nov 20

Attention musicians, amateur musicians, and composers of all ages. Our movie needs a song anthem... and we need your help!

We have the words. You provide the music.

Our script writer has written an original theme song for our movie and we need your help composing the music to help bring it to life. Your name/band name will be credited in the movie and your song will be played as the credits roll at the end of the movie.

Contest Rules

  1. Stick to the genre. We're looking for a catchy, up tempo, "modern southern-rock" anthem that you just can't get out of your head once you hear it. We want this song to be a timeless hit in it's own right, separate from the movie. (Hint: our screenwriter/lyricist is a huge MGK fan!)

  2. Lyrics, order, and length of versus can be modified, with written approval from the producers. Email info@madeindoraville.com with your requests.

  3. Compose and record your version of the song.

  4. Upload your recording to our shared drive by 5pm ET, Friday, December 13th using the following naming convention:

    1. Dear Doraville_mmdd.mp4 (where mmdd is a unique date that is recognizable to you, but not contest judges).

    2. Example: Dear Doraville_1225.mp4

    3. Contest participant's view of the shared drive is restricted to file upload only. Each day, contest administrators will move all song submissions to another private site for the purposes of protecting intellectual property. Participants will NOT have access to other submissions.

  5. Winners will receive a $750 prize, your song will be heard in movie theaters, social media, and other internet venues with a potential global reach. Plus, you/your band will receive credits in the film with the option to perform live at the movie premiere and other film-related appearances. *Note: musician(s) will be credited as co-author for copyright and intellectual property purposes. Made in Doraville, LLC will be the sole and exclusive owner of the copyright and royalties of the Work. Song may be re-recorded with a different artist, at the discretion of song owners.

  6. Winners will be announced January 2, 2025.
